HP gets long lasting batteries

Nibble Save a polar bear
Tuesday, 17 March 2009, 12:24

MAKER of expensive printer ink HP has decided to flog long-lasting Enviro laptop batteries from Boston Power.

The batteries cost $149.99 and fit 18 of HP's laptops.

HP has branded Boston Power's Sonata batteries under the Enviro name claiming its use will save a polar bear because consumers need to upgrade less often. µ

LOL

Polar bears can swim for a light year without stopping to rest. They can drag whale out of the water with one paw.
Anyone who has found themselves in the same room as a polar bear would wish it was not there.
There are more polar bears now than 10 years ago.

Voltage....

I Can Do This Or I Can Kill You, Ethier Way The Indians will UnderStand. Apply Paldins Words To Voltage & Particularly Laptops Early Adoption Of SSD. Hers Some Facts:any 2.5” Hard Drive; Selectable voltage (5.5v – 3.3v) Industrial This is Power Saver, Lets Note Well, 3.5 v. Min. Now More:
Solid state relays, SSD blocks DC voltage up to 2 or 3V (depending on model selected), then appears as a short circuit for disturbances. So 3.5 Minimum & SSD Controller only Takes less than 3 v Max without massive problems. Only thing that made SSD ploped upon HDD controller Design is that HDD leaks 1.25 v while SSD leaks .1 volt.,First Generation Literally runing on leakage by pass.Signal Passing Thru On Pool Of Mercury as Wave Blip. It NOT Hard to Imagine inside of SSD Must be going wibbly, putting out too low voltage to activate HDD?SDD Combo Controllers,Slow & too Fat of Trannies & pipes when SSD is used. Its amazing anything coherent at all would be rssult(ie Apply IQ to Personal Rants). Might ask Our Commentos' Ragger psychoticheese for answer, then you'll know its your fault. So just to get to minimum rate speed for SSD one must make controllers SSD only or dual controllers & bios clipper setting for each Storage device, HDD Seperate from SDD AND make sure voltage is adjusted by smaller transistor intiation Voltage & pipes small enough to handle light fast SDD voltage. Test last fall where flawed as machine clipped entire signal off, as signal was below perameters of controller operation.Only When Massive leakage built up would signal seem proper to Hdd controller.Start At Ground & Work Way Up Anus & See Real BM. Does Anybody take SPECS Seriously.ibm STeWie Drashek BTW this means with propper controller SSD be massive help in laptop battery life. Key is that SSD is Memory & we know DDR2 works at 1.6 v, while older HDD is up to 5 v. as thats what feed In on HOT Line.STeWie Speaks With Straight Tongue. ahso, this may be why SSD isn't "C" Drive capable at present, NOT Reliable, cut your SoftWare To Ribbons With Scrub( Doubt ECC is Even Option Right Now) With Such Poorly Engineered Mess.

Yeah sure, the polar bears...

Oragethetan's got it right. Polar bears are not in danger and the world won't end because of any co2. This is just obvious green propaganda.

WTHeck

Cnet Greenie editor no likey mine comments. Call the UN! Someone not believe grobal lorming.

Me re-iterates:

Polar bearses can swim like 400 miles
and bash whales with one swoop of a claw.

They are not good pets either.
And there are now more than there were 10 years ago.

Greenies are like watermelons.
Green on outside.
Red on inside.
Not my quote.

Rly?

Oh c'mon hp,
You can do alot better than this?

Can we plez see some solid caps on motherboards?

Or make this the default battery on the notebooks?

Or simply increase the life of the notebook, I mean like if the battery outlives the notebook, that's just sad.

Long Lasting?

So is that longer running time, or more charge cycles?
