Advertising is the rattling of a stick inside a swill bucket - George Orwell
MAKER OF TIN BOXES Dell has got a Nintendo bit silly over its Adamo creation with series of adverts which look like it should be flogging perfume rather than a laptop.
Dell is treating viewers to video teasers of beautiful people. A laptop is not mentioned and instead the outfit rattles on about the Adamo being a love story. After al,l a laptop should be an object of desire, shouldn't it?

You are expected to hand over your personal details to Dell's marketing division to find out how this love story is going to play out.
Ultimately we guess it will end up with a laptop being released and no one will get their kit off.
Why anyone would bother going to a website to watch this is anyone's guess.
So far Dell has not revealed what its Adamo laptop spec will be, but judging by the robots carving the casing out of an aluminium block with lasers footage we guess it will be an Apple Macbook Air clone. µ
Certainly nothing you would want to write a poem about.
It's actually for sale on the dell website....

Hey guys,
the specs are out... and they are ridiculous, at least for the price. The design sucks, in the base config you get a 1.2Ghz (!!!) Core 2 Duo and the thing costs $2000. Hello? WTF is going on? Who's going to buy this??? You can get more powerful Netbooks or a Macbook Air for that matter.
FLAME 'EM!
Dell must be mad, why buy this over an AIR. Not an apple lover but thought this was going to be a macbook rival. Not the all design no power of a macbook air.
Michael Dell needs to be whacked over the head with an HP MiniNote Vivienne Tam Edition.
