NAND prices up by 90 per cent

Nibble Short term set to stay the same
Thursday, 12 March 2009, 15:15

NAND FLASH PRICES have gone up by 90 per cent over recent months thanks to the fact that no one is making it any more.

According to DRAM Exchange it is unlikely that the short-term price will fluctuate much now as flash vendors are remaining conservative about future prices in 2009.

The current NAND flash price rally that started from the end of last year stemmed from the vendors' decision to halt their eight-inch production and lower their 12-inch useage rate. µ
