Dell crosses blades with Cisco

Nibble Night of the long knives

TINMAN DELL is planning a blade war with Cisco as the outfit tries to enter the market.

Rick Becker, vice president of software and solutions in the Dell Product Group, said that Dell will release a new line of blades built around Intel's Nehalem EP processors.

The move is will probably put a damper on the launch of Cisco's Project California virtualisation blade server next week. µ
