THE WONDERFUL THING about trade shows is that when one company says "You can't see this, you can't write this, and you have to sign an NDA to know it exists", you can usually find it in another booth. Supermicro was showing a SAS2/6G card at CeBit, but wouldn't show the on-board version.

Supermicro with SAS2 on-board
It looks kind of like this, on display at the Intel booth, you just had to know what you were looking for.
If you don't know what you are looking for, it is the two silver SAS connectors on the bottom edge. The name tag says X8DTU-F, and it does not show up on the Supermicro site.... for another three weeks or so.
We love big trade shows, and hate NDAs.µ

Charlie, you are totally wrong.
The board in question has only Intel ICH10R and drives just standard SATA 3GB/s hard disks.

Those two silver connectors that are located on the bottom of the motherboard are type-a USB connectors. There is absolutely no SAS controller on this board.
