CABLE outfit Verizon is sending out notification letters that could confuse users into handing over their personal data.

The email which is so full of small print, gives users 45 days to opt out or you "agree" that Verizon can share your personal data.

Personal data can be given to anyone who pays Verizon any amount of money, It can tell them specific calls you make and receive, billing, technical and where you live.

Readwriteweb is passing on small print-reading author David Weinberger's warning that people with a Verizon Wireless account should log on and view their messages to opt out. µ

how F**ked are they

It no wonder the States are in the state they are when a company can do what Verizon wants to do with your data. Home of the Free if you can pay for it.

Why not?

Verizon already turns over ALL of your call data, email and web surfing proclivities to the NSA. Why not try to make a few extra bucks selling some of their customers' private info to other thrid parties as well?
Greedy facists!
