"CERTAIN" LG 830 SPYDER mobile phones have been recalled in the US after the Consumer Product Safety Commission found the handset had trouble making emergency calls.
The recall afftects Spyder touch-screen slider phones with software versions T83LGV03 and T83LGV04. The phones had trouble with 911 call, apparently.
The phones were sold through dealers between September and November last year for about $200, the public watchdog said.
The phone model number can be found underneath the battery and the software version can be verified by going into the menu of the phone, selecting Settings –>Phone Information –> Version, according to the Commission's full instructions here. µ
