The only justice in the world is we're all going to die - Chicago savant

OVER-ENTHUSIASTIC GAMERS are at risk of contracting Palmare PlayStation Hidradenitis, it seems, after a 12-year-old Swiss girl had the distinction of becoming the first person diagnosed with the affliction.
The girl had developed a serious hand infection caused, her doctor said, by excessive
gaming.
Professor Vincent Piguet from the University Hospital of Geneva, Swiss named the condition Palmare PlayStation Hidradenitis, Swiss news agency ATS reported.
Piguet said the girl's hands were covered in lumps. "They were huge red nodes which were very spectacular," he told reporters.
Continuous stressed pressing of buttons and waggling of knobs, plus all the sweat and grime were blamed for the condition. Doctors banned the girl from her Playstation for ten days and her condition cleared up.
A report appears in the British Journal of Dermatology. µ
Whilst the paid Microsoft shills tell us the PS3 has no games, in the real world, people are playing the PS3 TOO Much???
Just goes to show, what Microsoft say, and what's actually happening in the real world are two totally different things..
But then the smart people knew that already, as clearly 21.3m PS3 sales in 2.5 years (at a much higher pricepoint) are better than 28m 360 sales in 3.5 years (many of which are RROD replacements anyway).
Please take your childish fanboy rantings to one of the kiddie gaming forums who actually give a s**t about cornhole wars et al.
Well said that man!
What are these kids today made of? Mario Party 2 made the inside of my palm raw from pure friction and I never got anything but on in the other hand cuz I kept playing!!
Playing too long? Dude level grinding in FF1 to get through that horrid water dungeon robbed me of a friggin child hood and the only thing that swelled was my wrath after still getting pwned.
Kids these days *shrug*.
The fact you took the effort to read this tripe of an article (which actually applies to ANY console, not just Playstation), makes you the biggest fanboy of them all.
Looks like my anti-FUD struck a raw nerve (or are you a paid shill...)
For those that don't remember there was once a scientific hoax, taken as fact by the international community, that H2O has a permanent memory of objects it touches (at a molecular level of course). This theory was propagated by some well established and bonafide scientists....it was all a lie based on falsified research data.
Doctors, Scientists, Popes...are just humans like everyone else, some good, some bad, and all capable of saying anything to put their names in the News.
More than one doctor in history has hoaxed a disease or treatment for fame or money.
LOL... Actually Mark, looks like it shows that Playstation owners are too stupid to take a break once in a while.
Mr Mark your comments frustrate a intelligent and inclusive gamer, so I'll divulge my sentiment impartially to you.
The Microsoft brand has made leaps and bounds in establishing its main staying merits in the games industry, so 28 million is milestone if you consider that its only the second generation from Microsoft, its a proud achievement. Sony on the other hand have failed to maintain it position as the market leader due too few exclusives, apathetic marketing and a detrimental pricing strategy for the console, bottom line Sony were negligible and complacent. The fact that the RROD still does not deter loyalists from the 360 speaks volumes of its great library of games.
where as most of the people writing about this news really is contemplating about someones opinion, i feel its a shame how 1 person writes something and someone else has to, create a debate to just the other side. anyways, if you have not noticed already this article is talking about console gamers, i myself fortunately am a non console type of guy, i have a wide variety of games, and use emulators for the games that came out on a console and not on PC, my point which i am trying to make is.... dont use control pads to fight zombies or race a skyline, use a keyboard, it allows ur hands to buton bash harder and at the same time, the areas where your hands are not touching the keyboard allow air to travel, thus meaning no sore thumbs fingers or palms. sooo in the end... computer gamers rule, where as other consoles druel.!!!!
