Firm slips extra internal hard drive into Macbook

Optical illusion

POLY-TAILED users who want an extra internal hard drive on their Macbooks might be interested in the new Optibay kit from MCE Technologies.

The drive replaces the optical drive in a Powerbook or Macbook with an additional internal hard drive.

OptibayIn the good old days, Powerbooks shipped with an expansion bay all the hard drives you could eat, but Jobs' Mob design considerations caused this to be axed.

An Optibay comes with a 250GB, 320GB or 500GB 5400 RPM drive, or a 'faster' 320GB 7200 RPM drive with a price tag of $99-399. µ

"Poly" tailed?

WTF is "poly-tailed" meant to mean? That Mac users not only have long hair but vestigial tails too?

@ Gerilart

I was wondering the same thing. There's an Apple accessory that costs less than $100?! Now that's news!

@Jon

A quality piece of lint free cloth with which to buff & polish the mac-odalisque can be had for under a hundred at a camera shop.

But it does not have an Apple logo on it.
