Vodafone to cut hundreds of UK jobs

Crunch Not saying how many
Tue Feb 24 2009, 12:05

UK PHONE outfit Vodafone is so impressed with its British employees that it is making hundreds of them redundant.

The global outfit is refusing to say how many until Tuesday when it can hold a press conference to put the best spin on the news.

Vodafone has not done too badly in the recession but chief executive, Vittorio Colao, has been running around the company with an axe in hand trying to save a billion quid. It looks like the Blighty offices are going to be in line for most of the cuts. µ
