No one in this business can guarantee anything for certain - Ian McNair, VP at HPQ
THE SUPREME COUNCIL of Cultural Revolution in Iran is so terrified that people will overthrow its glorious religious state that it has shut down two Web sites of the supporters of reformist ex-president Mohammad Khatami.
The committee is headed by the pint-sized President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who is fighting for his political life as normal Iranians are starting to get a bit irritated by him.
Ahmadinejad claimed that the sites were found to "disturb national unity, cause public frustration with the efficiency of the system, and make accusations against individuals and officials." In other words... disagree with him.
It might be a bit of a coincidence, but Khatami happened to announce he was standing against Ahmadinejad in the June election on the same day as the plug was pulled. µ

amir: It used to be the TV and radio stations.
i/p: Bush did business with the Taliban before 9/11.
sam: Yes indeed. Anyway, Amadinajad is a puppet, the mullahs hold the real power.
sami: More likely drunk.
I said "President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was one of the group of students who took the US embassy workers hostage during the Iranian revolution. According to UK TV."
And that is correct, it is what was broadcast on UK TV recently.
Ex-hostages have identified him, he was a student at the time. Some hostage-takers say it wasn't him.
Sam, it might not be what you want to read, but I wasn't insulting or rude, unlike yourself. So there, fnarr fnarr!
I wasn't going to reply because rowing on the internet is so 1998, but I couldn't resist! ;-)
