The quicker a phone's answered in sales, the slower it's answered in customer services - Brownridge's Law
JUST WHEN YOU thought things were slowing down in the industry, Intel brings out not one... but two, yes two, new logos. Our lawyers have warned us that people who have weak hearts can't take that much excitement, so we will only describe the second one - for your safety.

Shock and awe in logo form
With all due speed, we bring you a logo that even Hal* would feel privileged to wear while killing Dave, the new Centrino logo. Impressive hardly describes it, so we will hardly describe the new i7 logo. Think the same thing with Core i7 where Centrino is written, and the blue parts are white, white parts blue.
There you have it, you can die happy now. The new logos are everything you dared dream about, and more. They almost Rox0r, but fall a little short because the E isn't dropped. Ah well, there is always time when the Core i8s roll out.µ
* I know, I know, Intel would never certify Hal, it didn't use the firm's wireless radio. µ
Look at your own logotype INQ... and then find the courage to write anything else about anyone's logotype... Your whole visual style of the syte, let alone the logotype, is in par with low budget 70's D production sitcom... so... stfu.
This is hilarious
You've missed the whole point...
The idea is not, "hey look how rubbish the new intel logo is" it's meant to be "hey look Intel have spent time making EVEN MORE logo's!"
Nothing to do with the look, more to do with intel just pumping out logo after logo for no apparent changes to their product line... and they must be paying people to come up with these less than imaginative ideas!!
How else do you keep a marketing person amused...
I like sarcasm. I also like facetiousness. Throw in an alegory and we're set!
Yes, this commentary pertains to the Intel logo article.
I tink your new logo is great, Lazz, and I'm sorry you feel bad because people picked on it. I'm sure you worked realy hard and you did a great job! I think it's great that you can have a job where you can follow your logo creating dreams. Don't be upset by all the haters - they're just jealous because your logo is better than theirs.
The last thing that Robert Palmer did was to rejazz the Digital logo. He changed it all around. Made the blue parts burgandy, left the white parts white, and made the opaque letters cut-outs. Sure made all the difference for DEC and I think it will make all the difference for Intel, too.
Say -- if Intel dropped the dropped-e, maybe Dell should drop the dropped-E? Yeah, that's the ticket!
