ASUSTEK IS PLANNING TO SCRAP the 8.9-inch netbook format completely, according to a report on Digitimes.
Apparently, the ten-inch screen has become the de facto standard for thigh warmers accounting for nearly 95 per cent of predicted sales for 2009.
The only other format the company is planning to send to market is a seven-inch model designed specifically for telecoms service operators.
