A BLOKE FROM AT&T caused a kerfuffle by confirming that Dell would make a smartphone

The telco's Mobility CEO Ralph De La Vega, sitting on a panel at MWC yesterday  said, "Dell announced they're entering the smart phone market."

Dell of course had done no such thing but that didn't stop hacks getting all worked up.

De La Vega later said he knows nothing about any Dellphone and was just passing on what he'd read in the press.

You see how these things happen? µ
