New York wants to tax Internet porn
NEW YOIK Governor David Paterson wants to tax Internet porn in a bid to cream off cash from downloads.
The four per cent tax will apply to downloads of music, software, books, videos and other Internet content. However, since most downloading is porn it is effectively a porn tax.
New York is strapped for cash at the moment with a $15 billion dollar budget deficit.
Those opposed to porn on the web said that if New York brings in the tax it would have to encourage the downloading of porn to boost its own tax revenues. Others point out that the companies that rely on downloading will just move out of the State. µ

They have figured out a way to tax the air you breath through the hoax of global warming. Carbon dioxide, the gas all animals exhale is now a pollutant accourding to the talking heads. The same gas that plants use to make our oxygen. Yup they say God had it wrong in the cycle he set up and we are now exhauling global warming gases. Talk about a bunch of eejits. Oh, did I forget cow farts, and the fact the earth has cooled over the last year and the glcers are returning. That is why they are in such dire desparation to get some kind of woprld tax in place like they shoved the porkulus bill through congress so quick before people could relize a load of sh*t it is. As dfar as NY goes those idiots who voted all those liberal kopopks into power get what they desrve, any smart conservitive already left that f*cked up state.

The 'ideals' go out the window once a potential money grab shows up. Freedom of speech... eh... Surely Democrats can judge what is and is not "porn" (I say Democrats only because NY is run by Democrats). What about the lost jobs when the taxes hit? Well those are "bad" jobs, so we will instead kick out 1.4Bil to the Middle East to build a fab that MIGHT someday employ 1400 people (1mil per job created). Those backbones sure do get squishy once they have to think about how to pay for all the socialist programs, eh?
Wonder where the ACLU stands on this one? Do they abandon their ideals? (like they often do if it means going up against Democrats)
Here's an idea...spend a little less money and you won't be in debt! It's only going to get worse now that they have rooted out many of the "evil", and tax-paying bankers.
