Crunch Press predicted many more
Wed Feb 04 2009, 12:55

DESPITE THE USUAL RABID PRESS PREDICTIONS that software giant Novell would be decimating its payroll in order to ride out the recession, the company has confirmed today that it has laid off around 100 staff.

As Novell employs around 4,200 people worldwide, the figure represents just 2.3 per cent of the workforce. Some sources had predicted that up to 25 per cent could be handed their marching orders.

It is not known where the redundancies will be made but Novell UK will issue financial results later today and we'll keep you posted. µ
