Bloke batters bird for killing his character
A GAMER WHO ATTACKED his girlfriend when he thought she allowed his game character to die by standing in front of his computer screen has been hauled up before the beak.
Isac Benjamin Pettinger of Iowa faces charges of domestic abuse with injury, false imprisonment and obstruction of emergency communications.
Coppers say that it all started when Pettinger's live-in girlfriend, a 20-year-old massage therapy student, got a bit miffed that he was playing his computer game and not spending time with her.
She stood in front of the screen to attract a bit of attention, but at that point Pettinger's character was killed.
Mightily miffed he pushed her into a chair and straddled her, preventing her from getting up. He then allegedly punched her in the side of the head with a closed fist.
She ran and hid in the bathroom, but Pettinger reportedly followed her and attacked her again, beating her head against a wall.
The girlfriend tried to phone for help but Pettinger grabbed the phone and disconnected it. She managed to get her phone back, fled the house, called the cops and it was game over. µ

Indeed insensitive a**holes, who didn't even care to ask if the character is OK.
Thats why i never ever ever ever ever ever play any MMO/game while the wife or kids are up.. I've had the good ol "Dont make me disconnect the router!" and the "arms folded looking quite pissed while blocking my monitor/tv" fiasco. Therefore incidents of an angry Missus have been drastically curbed, and morale beatings have been reduced also.
i once smashed one of my brothers front teeth in half when he kicked a gun out of my hand in double dragon (we where on the same side if you know the game) while playing in an arcade back in 1989.
It was acidental i had a cast on my arm at the time. the games get the adrenalin going.
