SAP tries to make its software easier

PURVEYOR of esteric software, SAP has decided that its wares will be easier to work out if delivered as a service.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the German outfit will launch Business Suite 7, which will allow customers to only pay for the modules they use.

SAP is hoping to ride out the recession by peddling off-the-peg versions of its office offerings to smaller firms. The outfit is not really used to small sales initiatives like this so it has it crossed its fingers and hopes for the best. µ
