Panasonic thins up plasma TV line

Cuts power draw
Tuesday, 3 February 2009, 14:02

FORGET GEORGE FOREMAN Panasonic is the one who has developed a lean, green viewing machine.

That’s right, the electronics company has taken a leaf out of Vogue’s book and gone for a thin-profile panel for both Plasma and LCD HDTVs which are designed to be both high performers and environmentally friendly.

In order to achieve these goals Panasonic said it had to employ newly developed materials including discharge gas and phosphor for electron generation source which has improved discharge efficiency and cell structure.

Panasonic has also introduced a new circuit drive method which cuts the electricity loss down to one third and enables low-voltage drive.

The advancements made in order to give the new design its anorexic profile have also made it easier for the consumer to use the TV, as they can hang it on the wall like an enormous picture or slide it under the bed when the missus comes home. μ

Girls can't do tech....

This is not news. It's just some PR shit. How thin is the panel? How much power does it draw? What is its expected price? Are you a lesbian?
