Friendster relocates to Australia

Nibble Where it is unknown
Tuesday, 3 February 2009, 09:14

SOCIAL Notworking sight Friendster has packed its bags and shifted its operations to Australia where it is completely unknown.

The outfit has nearly 100 million registered users, mostly in Asia, particularly Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, but few down under. However Richard Kimber, the boss of the site, seems to think it is better to work from Oz. At the moment it is unclear if Friendster is making money but we would have thought a move to one of the asian companies that uses the site would be cheaper. We guess the surfing is better in Oz. µ
