Comedy Pope claims YouTube hit
PAPAL equivalent of Prince Philip, Pope Benedict has become a surprise over night sensation on Youtube.
His Holiness infallibly opened a new channel on the video piracy site on the same week he offended Jews by reversing the excommunication of a bloke who denied that the Nazis used gas on them during the war. It started broadcasting on the same day the Pope allowed a married priest back into the Church and the couple appeared on Italian telly with the wife apparently getting very cross with the scantily clad dancing girls on the serious news show.
Anyway, the Pontiff's site netted more than 750,000 visits in seven days, according to the press room of the Holy See, Father Federico Lombardi. Well he said seven days, the seventh does not count because on the that day the server rested we guess.
It is not quite clear why the site has been getting so many hits. New content has been put up every day or so, but unless you really are interested in the daily running of the Roman Catholic church it is a bit like watching paint dry.
We guess people are popping in to see who the Pope has managed to offend this week.µ

The whole group of priests was excommunicated and when the root cause was no longer present then the excommunication was removed. What has it to do with private views of one of them?
The sooner these superstitious people get a life the better. It's time for religion to be relegated to the history books as an interesting concept used by primitive people to explain what they do not understand.
