Apple is the most social brand
SOCIAL MEDIA research firm Vitrue says that Apple leads the list of 'most social' brands.
According to Advertising Age, Vitrue's index scores, "The conversation volume around 200 brands on a variety of social-networking, blogging and micro-blogging sites." Every mention counts, apparently, according to the adman's old maxim that all publicity is good publicity.
Apple brands on the list include Iphone (1), Apple (3), Ipod (7), and Mac (16).
Microsoft brands that made the list are Xbox (5) and Microsoft (11).
Other technology brands in Vitrue's top 20 include Sony (9), Dell (10), Nintendo (13), Playstation (15), Hewlett-Packard (18) and Blackberry (20). µ

Somehow I'm not surprised that Apple is associated with this plague of social not-working sites, self-indulgent blogging, and the rest of this Web 2.0 dysfunction. Now that it is too easy for every schmo to get on the net and post their crap (like this rant), we see all the riff raff ruining the web.
I find it hard to believe this list doesn't include Facebook of Myspace...
Makes me think that a shabby scripter didn't know how to exclude the term "Facebook" while trolling facebook
