US Airways grounded by computer crash

Nibble Cut cable causes chaos
Friday, 30 January 2009, 10:42

A SEVERED CABLE CAUSED US AIRWAYS to lose its computer network and forced the grounding of 100 flights yesterday.

The fibre-optic cable was accidentally cut near one of its Phoenix data centres and affected its flight dispatch and airport computer systems.

Apparently things are back to normal now.µ
