Nearly as many mobiles in South Korea as people

Nibble 93 per cent coverage

SOUTH KOREANS can't get enough of their mobile phones and have nearly as many phones as people, according to the latest figures.

There were 45.6 million mobile phone subscribers in South Korea in a country with a population of 48.6 million.

That's over 93 percent of the population and the figures are expected rise further in the coming year and more people want a phone for the other ear. µ
