Boffins come up with new semiconductor ink

Enables bendable computers
Thursday, 22 January 2009, 12:32

US BOFFINS have developed a semiconductor ink will allow for bendable computer screens and  inexpensive sensor tags in shops.

The ink can carry a negative electrical charge which means it can be used for flexible and printed electronics.

Developed by researchers at Polyera and BASF, the conductive ink can be printed onto flexible materials, such as a thin film of plastic or paper, using a modified ink-jet printer. µ

Are we going to see a newspaper that lasts a whole week?

Or a magazine for a year? Or you buy the first novel, and as the sequels come out they get included? Or cheap advertising hoardings. Or loads and loads of adverts all over buses, shop windows, govt buildings, trains, plane seat backs etc etc.

OMG is this the start of advertising everywhere?
