Malta gets fast broadband

ITALY and Malta have been linked by a new 300km undersea cable after four stormy weeks trying to get the cable laid.

The optic fibre cable has been laid by Interoute and will give the Maltese broadband speeds that are nine times faster.

The link is being seen as another important Internet avenue between Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. These links have been battered by terrorism and accidental damage, allegedly. µ
