Microsoft back to sniffing round Yahoo

Nibble Steve Ballmer has a quiet word
Monday, 19 January 2009, 10:16

HOARSE WHISPERER and Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer had a quiet word with Yahoo chairman Roy Bostock in New York about a possible merger.

The move suggests that Vole has started negotiations over a web search deal between the two companies could be restarting. Yahoo's new CEO Carol Bartz, told employees she had held an informal conversation with Ballmer too.

Her ears must still be ringing, but neither she nor Bostock are saying what the great man whispered to her. µ

Psst … I Wanna Tell You Two Stories

It would be self-benelovent to realise that nobody does anything for the other. It’s always me first which was where the inexperienced Yangtze Turbulence’s attemnpts at hypocrisy came a-cropper. He made it looked like he was doing for the benefit of others not his illusions-cum-delusions.

At least the hawks have cast-off their camouflage way-back when for monopolies learn fast when to comes to screwing, and so will the new dahling on the block. The Chosen Few, real or imagined, budding or entrenched, also realised long ago that the paper stuff is merely glitz and the access to resoureces is the name of the [zero-sum] game. In reality, when faced with a big vun, the answer is not a matter of “how” but “when”. For the “stockists”, watch it rise and then falls and then rise and rise and then …… it’s good to be A Chosen Few ….
