KIWI COPPERS made their first "Facebook arrest" after placing video of a thief removing his balaclava during a burglary on the social notworking site.

Coppers wanted to know if anyone recognised the intruder who revealed his secret identity whilst trying to angle-grind his way into a pub safe.

Inspector Knacker of the Queenstown Yard stuck the footage on the force's Facebook page in the hope of poking a few memories. The burglar was identified within 24 hours and arrested. µ
