BRIT OWNERS of the Froth-topped Duke's Ithingey and Ipod gadgets are using Tioti TV technology from Vizimo to remotely program their Sky + TV boxes. And Vizimo's stats say 39 out of the Top 50 programmes recorded over Xmas were produced by the Beeb.
Wait for it. The most recorded programme was the Doctor Who Christmas Special. Wow, what a shock. The only ITV1 programme to make it into the Top Ten was Harry Hill's TV Burp of the Year.
Gosh. Isn't going to be difficult for marketeers to build up a profile of what type of person own the Ithingey?

Despite their love for the UK gov's propaganda machine, these geeks aren't very patriot. It seems that the Queen's message didn't make it into the Top Fifty.
Curiously that same chart didn't contain a single programme that wasn't free-to-air. Surprising given that Ithingey owners were connecting to a Sky box.
Vizimo's CEO, Simon Steward, warns that too much ought not to be read into these statistics. Oh, yeah? Wallace and Gromit flicks - another high-brow offering (not) - were also exceedingly popular.
Steward suggests that maybe the Beeb's scheduling was just plain rubbish so it was putting shows on at a time when they'd be eating Xmas pud, for example. He's probably right.
Oh. And if you don't own a Ithingey, you can get to the service on a regular handset by going to http://wap.tioti.com. µ
