Youtube goes to Congress

Nibble For the people by the people
Tuesday, 13 January 2009, 12:11

THE US CONGRESS has launched two new Youtube platforms which will give them more opportunity to cover their bottoms with spin.

'Senate Hub' and 'House Hub' are designed to provide easy access to congressional Youtube channels.

If people are interested in seeing the spin that the plastic toys of lobby groups are churning out, they can find their senators' Youtube pages by clicking on a map or using a drop-down menu.

Although the hubs are maintained by Youtube, each individual congressperson's channel is maintained by his or her office.

Playlists include 'Got a Question?' and 'Behind the Scenes'. Videos featured allow visitors to watch clips of floor speeches, committee hearings, and other activities on The Hill. µ

Why aren't we, the people, voting directly?

When are we going to get true democracy where the people vote on the laws before the house?

Will they show the donations and who they are from on youtube?
