Sling Media co-founders sling their hooks

THE MAKER of Slingbox seems to have had an exodus of biblical proportions.

Sling Media has just had what is euphemistically called a 'management shake-up' according to the blog PaidContent.

Co-founders Blake and Jason Krikorian have emptied their desks along with top execs Jason Hirschhorn and Ben White.

The outfit was bought by EchoStar for $360 million and the executives agreed to stay for a year.

Since the year is up, it seems that the Krikorians and their mates are legging it for greener fields. µ

Too bad

I am a huge Sling fan. But Echostar is sure to run it in to the ground. Big companies play to other big companies needs and forget about the customer. Now that Sling is Echostar they are too big for their britches and they got there too fast.

Sad thing is, I own 4 Slingbox and the 2.0.x client is already worse than the 1.5 client.

Things are already being mismanaged.

If they can actually get the Sling client for iphone out before they self destruct I could be satisfied though.
