Obama inauguration comes to EU on HD

Brought to you by Eurovision

EUROVISION, the telly association better known for the song competition, says that it will broadcast television pictures of the inauguration of US President Barack Obama next week live in High Definition (HDTV).

This means that Euro broadcasters will be offered full HDTV coverage of the ceremony, Obama's speech and motorcade. Without the smug, deprecating commentary of Terry Wogan, we assume.

It also means that if any right-wing loony does take a pot-shot at him, we will have enough high quality digital footage to feed conspiracy theories for years. µ

Give me a break

Oh yippie! I will get to see "The Savior of the Universe" in full HD! Who cares. You know who else was a right-wing loony? Churchill, Thatcher, and Ronald Reagan. Thank god for the Loony's or else London would be the second capital of Nazi Germany.
