LG turns hot air green

CES 2009 Leading the charge
Tuesday, 13 January 2009, 10:04

THE LUCKY GROUP took the opportunity to harness important energies, like the sun, and the hot air that seems to flow towards the infamous Las Vegas Convention Center to do the most honourable of jobs: charging mobiles.

It's part of a LG announcement mandating 'Eco-Design' and supply chain adherence to varying regulations regarding reduction of burnt smoke and other carbon problems.

Wonder why they tried...

Well, there are 4 solar panels on that thing, and last I heard you have to sit those things out for a couple years just to break even on the required carbon(CO2) to make the things. So there's really not much chance that this helped to "save the planet."

And would someone please explain to me why the same people who believe an asteroid hit the planet a few hundred million years ago, killed the dinosaurs and gave rise to our sorry asses...believes that putting a bunch of CO2 in the air will "harm the planet?"

If we're saving anybody's ass, it's our own. Let's quit being conceited and NOT claim that we're saving the planet.

It's getting really old really fast.
