ONE OF THE coolest PC cases we've seen to date is on display at Bit Tech today. It's a project called Chiaroscuro by Nick Falzone and draws inspiration from an architect bud of his. Worth a look.

There's a comparison of AMD's Phenom II vs. Core i7's overclocking abilities. The article has a twist (as the conclusion has little to do with overclocking).

Media servers are all the rage nowadays, and with good reason too. Trusted Reviews has a Vivaldi MM200 Media Server in the office for a round of... movies?

Modders Inc has a couple of fans from GELID on test, the Wing9 and Wing12 UV Blue case fans. The names are pretty self-explanatory.

Tube amps and PCs? Weird, we know, but Madshrimps upped a review on one built by Tecon. It's the Model 55 Tube Amp for PC.

The words "Spedo" and "Package" are a bit risky, when you read this review of the Thermaltake Spedo Advance Package.

Danish site Tweak has a review of an HIS HD 4650 iSilence 4  (Googlenglish) - a fully passive/silent card at that. That's quite a feat, considering that these cards usually run hot.

Laptop Mag has an interesting Bluetooth gadget called the Xlink BT, which lets you use your cellphone as a cordless phone around the house.

Kingston's HyperX DC DDR3-1800 dual-channel memory kit is on review at Bjorn 3D. No EPP or XMP to help you configure, so things are all manual.

Madshrimps are testing some noname PSUs against branded PSUs to figure out the real differences between the logo on the case.

RBMods got some new stuff from Evercool, namely the Serpent Northbridge Chip Cooler. Active cooling for the northbridge should help with OC'ing.

Long time no reviews from Shuttle. Hartware.de has a couple of new SFF systems - the SP35P2 and the SP45H7 - on test. (Googlenglish)

Technic 3D is testing ToPower's Silent EZ 400W PSU (Googlenglish). If you're planning on an HTPC rig, then this review is for you.

Notebook Review has an, errmmm... review, of Logitech's Illuminated Keyboard. It looks like a very plain piece of kit, but far from it.

Hardware Logic has a Rosewill Conqueror case on the bench. It's a solid value case with lots of pros and little cons. µ

Pick Your New Equipment With Care.

Word to Wise: 7 didn't completely install on 690G,neither 64 Nor 32, both from TechNet. It did straighten out boot up menu into one from two oddities, & out of date promos, bad sp3xp part& first round of 4 vistas' late to grave still stutter about together with, 4 good builds now taking on ravages of dead wood. well out with old, yet if you plan 7 for Summer, Buy up, X58, be my guess before you put too much into old system when you buy it new.Maybe RC or additional Promo release or final release be better, as only one small glitch in boot up identifying in install mode, right in last stage of whole install. yet its probably cursed main number at least, most likely many higher numbers just arn't high enough. So Go Figure.NoLinkDolby: TS Drashek
