A SWISS ARMY knife is now getting Bluetooth and fingerprint recognition technology added to its collection of blades, forks and spoons.

The new device, which was shown off at CES, also comes with a laser pointer and an integrated Bluetooth remote control that can be used to direct a slide show or a Powerpoint presentation.

This will complement the 32GB USB flashdrive and fingerprint recognition sensor.

The Presentation Pro will be available from in Q2 2009. µ

Useless Device

It only works with Windows, so those of us running OSX or Linux are out of luck. Which is too bad, it's a neat looking toy.

Quite useless indeed

Only suitable for 90% of computer users.

But OSX users will be too confused by all the options.

No really, useless..

Because Bluetooth on Windows works *so* well... ¬.¬

Anyway, surely it works on any OS? I mean, hello, *Bluetooth*?

Why would a bluetooth remote profile device no work on any OS with a decent Bluetooth stack?

Useless...NOT

Bluetooth is not the only connectivity option. There's a USB flash drive in it too.

Beside, bluetooth on XP is good once you install the WIDCOMM software.

No problems with bluetooth in 7.

Looking forward

To all those PowerPoint execs trying to explain to airport security staff why they need their Swiss Army Bluetooth Knife while lying on the floor with a boot on their back and a gun pointed to their head.
Brilliant idea. Really.
