Phenom II X4 940 on two HD 4870s

JUST A FEW DAYS before AMD's great silicon hope arrives and OC Workbench landed a review of the X4 940 running crossfired HD 4870s. Mostly synthetic, they are.

Fudzilla has a review of the uber Scythe Musashi VGA cooler. Eliot got a hot-tempered HD 4850 down to 40ºC on this one.

Thermaltake sent off one of their new Spedo Advanced Chassis to Anandtech. Christoph loaded the rig with a worst case scenario for the review.

If you're in the market for a mid-range graphics card, check out OCIA's review of the Leadtek 9800GTX+. It manages to nibble at the GTX 260's heels.

Guru of 3D has a terminally cool HIS Radeon HD 4870 IceQ4+ Turbo. If you don't know why you need 1GB of framebuffer, try playing GTA IV at 1920x1200 or higher without it...

Ze Madshreemps have a DFI LANParty DK Series 790GX-M2RS. It sports the usual HD 3300 piece of integrated graphics and does some degree of overclocking.

Legit Reviews is showing off some of Corsair's high-end tri-channel kit, the 3x2GB Dominator series DDR3-1600.

Overclock 3D in the UK is reviewing Gigabyte's EX58-UD5 X58 mobo. Now with added durability. Top overclocking ability.

Techspot is also looking at the Gigabyte produce, only with less ultra durability. It's the EX58-UD4P X58 mobo.

Tom's Hardyware is facing off Tri-SLI GTX260 versus SLI GTX 280 to determine which fits their $2500 PC best. Uhm... so what about the GTX 285/295 launches?

Matbe has a review of Biostar's TPower X58 (Googlenglish) mobo. Some serious cascade cooling on a Core i7 965 taking place there...

Danish site Tweak.dk has a look at the WD Caviar Green 1TB drive (Googlenglish). Looks like it's a great companion for your HTPC.

PC Games Hardware has some of its usual graphical eye candy taken from GTA IV on a Core i7 facing off with a Core 2 Quad.

MacInTouch is seeing just how much power a PC can tap when running Mac OS X with an EFI-X BIOS  replacement kit.

Chile Hardware has a review on the Palit Radeon HD 4870 Sonic (Googlenglish). Noisy but cool, with an overclocking bonus.

OCaholic in Switzerland wrote up a review on the very Germanic EKL Alpenföhn Gross-clock'ner CPU cooler. EKL is a new challenger so it might be worth looking at. µ

They continue to embarrass themselves...

I have NO idea what their "review" says, or what conclusions they make, or even why they exist.
