Intergrerty -- we've never heard of it - Doc Spinola of that ilk
A CRAZY 17-year-old World of Warcrack player told a game moderator that if he didn't get his way he would kill himself.
The Ohio teen told the customer services rep that he had nothing else to live for other than his marathon sessions in the fantasy role playing game and that his frustration with the game had become so all-encompassing that he had decided to top himself.
The employee, no doubt keen to avoid the kind of headlines that would follow the untimely demise of a pimply social retard blamed on the ridiculously addictive game, called the cops who traced the miscreant through his IP address.
They then kicked in his back door and slapped a charge of first degree misdemeanour on him.
He, of course, insisted the whole thing was just a joke.
Who's laughing now sunshine? µ

...at least, after the police are done with him and return him to his parents. I'm sure he's more scared of what his parents have to say/do with him vs life after the stunt he pulled.
At least I would be.
I hear the guy is so stupid that he can't even spell 'ridiculously' and gets offers to be editor at the inq :x
The kid needs to get a life,
My 16 year old loves and plays WOW, however I refuse to buy a game that can ONLY be played online for a monthly fee. It's a rip off in my opinion. This kid needs to get a life. It's just a game.
Angsty teen threatens suicide over something trivial. Wow, that's NEVER happened before!
I'm working as a customer service lead for a rather large and sucessful mmo (and no, not WoW).
Cases like this happen daily, simply because a lot of users don't realize what they're causing behind the scenes.
We're obliged to report any and all suicide or amoque run threats to the police (in fact the police usually has a contact person that takes all these requests), and often get shocked mails from parents or users that never expected that they would have officers knocking on their door because their kiddo or themselves make a "joke".
It's amazing how some people lose the grip on reality and think their actions have no consequences when playing games.
Then again, maybe they have to get shocked like this to finally wake up and get the hint :)
Come on now...this is the best you could do to describe this human being? Ever give a moments thought to how using the word retard affects people with special needs? Ever consider for a moment that people with special needs have feelings? No, I didn't think so.
