I'm with you on the free press. It's the newspapers I can't stand - Tom Stoppard
SPEAKING AT a press conference in London, SMS specialist Vince Acors – aka the bonking Brit – denied that he'd actually had "full sex" with his co-accused on a beach in Dubai.
However, he did admit that he'd had physical contact with the woman. Mysteriously, Acors says that he would go back to Dubai again which he accidentally described as the sex capital of the Middle East.
This has led to speculation that the 'three day business' trip he referred to was a bit more important than landing contracts for his own company, Moticon.
Acors has described his business as providing text message services for the media industry. So was it a mere co-incidence that Michelle Palmer, the woman he was caught with, worked for one of the country's biggest publishing houses - ITP Publishing - at the time?
In a statement which Acors was supposed to have read out but left behind, he claimed, "Although I fell short of the standards expected of Dubai and of myself, I do not regard my conduct with Michelle as justifying my detention in that country for nearly six months, let alone the imposition of a three month prison sentence."
Acors is said to have lumbered himself with a massive legal bill - especially since he managed to get himself re-arrested just before he finally left the country.
Luckily he's rumoured to have one of the best lawyers in the business. µ
