Festive Edition Reviews getting into gear

IF YOU'VE ALWAYS wished to know how PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 games look like, side-by-side, take a look at Gamespot's article, right here.

Bjorn 3D is looking at MSI's most finest of motherboards, the X58 Platinum. Great overclocking ability, it seems, and a very affordable price... for an X58.

PC Perps is rekindling the flame on the P45 chipset, with a roundup of MSI, Asus and Gigabyte boards. All good buys if you're still in Core 2 mode.

Big Bruin is reviewing some top OCZ kit, the SLI Ready DDR3-2000 2x1GB. Very competitive pricing, but not all that stable, says Michael.

OCC has a Thermolab Baram CPU cooler in the house. The cooler handles itself quite well but requires some disassembly of the mobo.

PureOC is turning up the juice with an InWin Commander 1200W PSU. The kit comes in a camouflage-themed box to add to the flavour.

Pro Clockers has the Asrock AOD790GX/128M motherboard on test. As the flagship chipset for AMD's current and soon to be released Phenom II, you can resort to the IGP or go for a full blown Crossfire config.

French site TT Hardware is checking out the LanCool PC-K6 (Googlenglish) tower case. Pascal considers it a mid-range case, with a low price and high-end built quality.

We've always liked iRiver but they've never been very big outside Korea. Pocketables has a review of the iRiver T6.

German site TweakPC has done a roundup of AMD 790GX boards (Googlenglish). Again, if you're looking to buy AMD in the coming month, this might be a good place for a mobo.

OCIA is testing the Logitech diNovo Keyboard for Notebooks. It's ultra-thin, with a mix of black and brushed a luminium. Snazzy.

Notebook Review has a WD TV HD Player in the living room. This is a mini home theatre computer, which provides you HD video and photo, audio playback on TV, with little effort.

Rage 3D has pulled out all the stops and built a Quadfire rig with a couple of HD 4870 X2s. Very technical explanations going on there.

Chile Hardware is reviewing the Xigmatek NRP-MC751 750W (Googlenglish) power supply. 80Plus certification, modular, stable voltages, good stuff.

Asus' N10JC "corporate" netbook is being reviewed by Jarred at Anandtech. The smallish lap warmer is quite unique in the netbook business, as it sports a GeForce 9300M GT 256MB.

Well, it's Christmas, the harvest was a bit weaker today, but there it is. Plenty of stuff for you to flop around for a while. µ
