I think there's a world market for maybe five computers - Thomas Watson, IBM
ASUS ANNOUNCED on Tuesday that its M2 and latest M3 series mainboards now support AMD's new AM3 line of processors built on 45nm die technology.
The Taiwanese PC components and systems heavyweight said that its customers who have already bought its M2 and M3 series motherboards can install support for AMD's new high performance AM3 chips with just a BIOS update.
The list of Asus motherboards that support AMD's AM3 processors is:

Asus motherboard BIOS updates are available at its website. µ
This will make it really confusing when the real AM3 board are released.
Why can't they just keep calling it AM2+
until they have DDR3 and all other features that come with the AM3 socket.
Would it be so difficult to make clear that AM3 CPU's fit in a AM2+ socket.
This info is outdated, the full list is here:

Basically all AM2+ mobos should work.
Not Much Ultimate Action on X series of Intel till X58. Now 64 Bit Falling In Place Too. With AM3, it Too is That Step UP. Quality. Bulldozer, If Little Yellow CAT Didn't Claw it to Death, Is Pinacle of series Starting with X2 Athlon. Its Hard To Describe Difference of Single Vs. Dual, Like telling BlindPerson about world, Hey-They RUN InTo It Every Hour. Dual is like Fresh Vision & AM3 is Finally Near Ultimate Track. If You Have X2, Wait for Dunnington to Sprout Server 1.9 Billion Transistors ALL About. Now Dunnington is in Developement Stage as MainFramer, Meaning You Add More Processor As Work Increases, Finally ONE Design Emerges for Desktop Size MainBoard & Then, If Lucky, Numbers SkyRocket. oh poo. so none of the first AM2+ boards will work. . . my dual core barcalona pisses all over phenomI chips in an M3A32 mobo so I have been waiting for the 45nm chips. only a meagre selsction of 45nm AM2+ available which will quickly go the way of the 'worth their weight in gold' 939 dual cores.
No support for M3A32-MVP, like the flagship mobo, come on, even if its got old SB, as if they cant support it
I have been waiting patiently for an M3A-H/HDMI BIOS that will boot my 3.0 GHz AM3 processor. It just sits on the shelf waiting for a BIOS. 12-16-2008 today and no BIOS update available.
Still no sight of AM3 processors nor any real AM3 mobos. With only 2 months away from release, I'm going to see some real delays in releasing actual hardware.
