Iphone Nano rumours ramp up

Chinese whispers
Monday, 15 December 2008, 13:51

THE LAND OF the rampant rumour is once again the source for the latest rumblings about the next big (or small in this case) thing coming from Apple.

A number of sites are carrying what they are describing as 'insider information' about a smaller version of the ubiquitous Iphone, currently being touted as the Iphone Nano.

Ideals China maintains that case designer and flogger XSKN has privileged information about the next iteration of the the One Phone to Save Them All. And previous near-simultaneous releases of hardware and third-party accessories from companies like Griffin would suggest that it's not just those cloistered in the hallowed halls of Club Cupertino who are privvy to Steve's special secrets.

The new Iphone Nano, if the rumours and slightly shoddy renderings are to believed, will be about 20 per cent smaller than the currrent offering and would probably not work well with much of the App Store's content because of the reduced screen size.

We think it's all highly unlikely but you'll probably have to wait until the Thin White Duke  steps into the spotlight at Macworld on January 5th to hear it from the horse's mouth. µ

Looks bogus...

This site's previous rumors (iPhone 3G shock absorber, iPod touch GPS) are wrong, and it's part of the same site software and ad community as the OEM they claim to have a leak from (XSKN). This looks to me like a bogus site to drive ad revenue and links to their case products, which you've helpfully done...
