Bush's domain name a pricey purchase

Sold for $35,000

IT WHAT APPEARS TO BE the biggest bargain of the century, George W. Bush's presidential library domain name has been repurchased for $35,000 after it was left to expire by a web development company.

To be honest we were surprised Georgey boy could actually read anything more intellectual than the epic "My Pet Goat" that he historically read to a classroom full of grammar school children on the morning of 9/11.

The website http://www.GeorgeWBushLibrary.com is indeed an interesting one that offers a page of insightful wonders. The single page displaying where the library is located and little else must be absolutely worth what the backers of the library paid to recover the presidential domain name.

The domain name had been purchased by Illuminati Karate for a reasonable $10 and was sold back earlier this year to Yuma Solutions, the library's contracted web development shop, for the pricey sum mentioned.

George Huger, lead web developer for Illuminati Karate, said he was searching through a list of domain names that were about to expire and found this one, immediately seeing its potential as a nice little earner.

Mark Langdale, president of the George W. Bush Library Foundation, had no idea that all this drama had gone on with the loss and repurchasing of the domain name.

The expensive yet boring site seems safe for now as the domain name apparently won't expire again until 2013. µ

Impressive site

Impressive that even a does-absolutely-nothing placeholder site like that is still broken and inaccessible XHTML. At least the new-look Inquirer site _does_ something for its errors...

Domain name skanking should be illegal

taking "property" and selling it back to the original owner should be a crime.

I hope Dubya gets some crack feds on the case!
