Ipod back on Aussie Christmas lists

Along with infrared goggles

AFTER MONTHS of dropping off of Australians' shopping lists, the iPod is apparently back.

Along with military night-vision technology and a teddy bear complete with media player, the Ipod is near the top of the list of things Aussie people most want to find in their stockings.

Barbie and Lego topped lists compiled by retail analyst David Jones, so Apple is not number one by a long way. However, since retailers had all but written off the Ipod as a dying fad, its resurrection is a bit of a surprise.

The Ipod only appeared on the Christmas lists of men, followed by an Oroton wine holder and digital cameras. Women wanted more useful things such as hair straighteners, Chanel No. 5 perfume and a Gordon Ramsay cookbook.

One of the reasons for the Ipod's recovery might be that it is one of the cheapest gadgets on the market at the moment.

We can just imagine an Apple fanboy wearing night vision goggles stalking the parks looking for dogging couples this Boxing Day. If you listen for Coldplay tunes that sound like pounding on rice crisps you should be able to hear them coming. µ

"Women wanted more useful things" such as hair straighteners, Chanel No. 5 perfume and a Gordon Ramsay cookbook.

In your synopsis of that article, you made yourself into a sexist pig. You should have just quoted it directly. Good work and a big fail into your character.
