Gold stars for good Googlers

GOOGANTUA has made some changes to the way in which its forums work in order to give regular contributors a digital pat on the back.

Katina Johnson from the Google Help team said, "We've been impressed by the hundreds of thousands of people who really understand our products and are willing to share their knowledge.

"To spot the most helpful commenters, we are converting our forums to a new system designed to help, encourage and reward everyone who visits."

Forum users can expect to see improved search results, including posts from current and new forums, the ability to designate especially helpful forum members as 'Top Contributors' and a reputation and ranking system.

There's a cheesy video about the changes here. µ
