Monty Python strikes back at Youtube

I'd like to have an argument please
Thursday, 20 November 2008, 09:31

THE SURVIVING members of the Monty Python team are so miffed at people ripping off their videos on Youtoob they have set up a channel on the site.

In a statement on the site, the Pythons say that the wanted to make a complaint. For the last three years the video sharing site has been ripping them off, taking tens of thousands of their videos and putting them on the Interwibble without credit.

"Now the tables are turned. It's time for us to take matters into our own hands… We know who you are, we know where you live and we could come after you in ways too horrible to tell," they say here.

The comedians said the clips from their television show and movies would be high-quality and free.

In return they do not want drivelling, mindless comments. Instead, they want punters to click on the links, buy the movies and TV shows and soften their pain and disgust at being ripped off all these years.

The new channel also features a video in which Michael Palin, Eric Idle, John Cleese, Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam explain the decision to launch their own YouTube channel. µ

Waaaaa, ah, waaaaa

Like they need credit, everyone knows who they are and they should be proud they are being used so much. What a bunch of whiners as bad as some record artists I know of. Waaaa, I didn't get enough money so I have to settle for gold plated toilets in my mansion instead of solid gold ones.

Hail to Monty Python!

Ahhhh.. blessed nirvana! Just the thing to while away the hours at work! Of course, I already have all their movies, so they won't get any more out of me, but still, nice!

Only fair

AS the video suggests, we won't be treated to crappy recordings from 20 yr old VHS tapes, we can still view our favourite skits FREE, they just want credit where credit is due
Trying to think of any dvds I don't have

Is somebody missing a stick?

If so, you might want to do a cavity search of Regulas.
