What's the definition of a heatsink for a hot journalist? Answer: the local boozer
NEW APPLE SIGNING Mark Papermaster has had his biog page pulled from the Cupertino company's web site following a temporary injunction filed by his former employer IBM.
Big Blue reckons Papermaster is in a position to hand over IBM secrets to his new employer and wants him to spend a year forgetting everything he learned in his years at the company.
Papermaster maintains that his new job, thought to be heading up the future development of Ipod and Iphone chippery, is so far removed from what he was doing at IBM that he should be free to work for Jobs' Mob immediately. "Until this litigation effort by IBM," he noted in court papers, "aside from the divested IBM personal computer business and a single sale several years ago of Apple’s Xserve product to a university, I do not recall a single instance of Apple being described as a competitor of IBM during my entire tenure at IBM."
