Orange in home and mobile tie up

Still has strings attached
Tue Nov 25 2008, 14:39

MOBILE OUTFIT Orange has got around to offering a package which finally links home and mobile broadband.

For about twenty notes a month, "Orange Home & Mobile Broadband" customers get home connection with download speeds of up to 8MB, a free wireless router and all the evening and weekend calls you can eat.

It comes with a USB dongle, download speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps and a download usage allowance of 3GB worth of mobile connection.

You can also get "Internet Everywhere 30 Days", that lets user try the service on a one-month contract. If you pay £49.99 for a dongle you get 3GB usage for £20 per month.

However it still has not reached the ultimate broadband mobile package where you don’t need a land connection. We guess this will arrive with reasonably priced mobile phone and SMS messaging.
In a press release, Asif Aziz, director of broadband and home,

Orange UK, said the offers provide flexible alternatives to meet the needs of today’s 21st century customer. µ
