We're seeing a sort of Wal-Martisation of this world - Pundit on BBC Radio 4
AN AMERICAN is suing McDonalds after he left his Mobile Phone in McDonalds.
The phone contained Full Monty snaps of his missus which somehow ended up online.
The suit says that Phillip Sherman left the phone in the Fayetteville, Arkansas store in July and that employees promised to look after it until he returned. However somehow snaps appeared on the Internet.
The man claimed that he, and his wife, suffered $3 million worth of hurt feelings as a result of the phone snaps ending up online. Not only that they had to move to a new home because everyone in town would know what his wife looked like naked. Although we are not quite sure how the last line works out. If the pictures were posted online we would have thought everyone in the whole world would know what his wife looked like naked so unless they moved to the moon everyone will have still seen her in all her glory.
McDonalds' manager Aaron Brummley declined to comment and other company officials didn't return messages. µ

Another silly scam attempt. I hope they lose and have to pay any expenses for McDonald's.
"The phone contained Full Monty snaps of his missus which somehow ended up online."

Nick, I'm disappointed. Where is the obligatory link...??
This is obviously a bare-skinned attempt by someone to strip McDonalds' wallet of a few dollars. One can only hope that the civil courts will expose this stark attempt to gain money for the garmentless case it is.

Seriously though, why do people have nude photos of their wives on their phones? Do they forget what they look like nude? If they really need to tug one off at lunch break, can't they just use their imaginations?

*sigh* Humans are stupid.
While I never agreed with the "jackpot justice" that awarded a dumb bitch money for pouring hot coffee on her crotch... I think that Mickey D's may have some liability in this case.

Breaking into someone's cellphone and posting personal info. online is a crime and all responsible for same should be prosecuted. This matter is no doubt the result of some more yoof making poor decisions.
It's totally his fault.

1. Keeping nudes of his wife on his phone
2. Losing the phone
3. Trusting a bunch of medium-wage kids, ex-convicts, and what not to not go through the phone.
Any particular mention of just how the couple became aware of her pics ending up online? It would seem that it would take a considerable amount of time stumbling about that type of content to come upon those particular photos...
I bet when the feds pull the IP address of the person who posted the images it will come back to him somehow.

A very good friend of mine is a McDonalds manager and he tells me how people all the time are suing McDonalds for all sorts of claims.

At his store a truck driver tried suing McD's because he failed his drug test claiming the McDonalds shake must have contained cocain because he felt very unusual after drinking it. They checked all the employees and store and guess what no coke was found anywhere.

Im betting this is just another scam trying to sue McDonalds.
I don't believe a word of it; can we see naked women yet?
He probably wanted the extra creme with that coffee...
I bet that he left the phone there, then transferred to the pics online himself.
posting naked pics of your wife online, then leave your mobile (with the pics) somewhere and accuse the people there of having done it.
How he can prove that THEY did it is anyone's guess.
No sigar.
Why assume that McDonalds posted the pics? Are they tied to one of the employee's myspace pages or? If not, I don't see a case.

The phone was lost, meaning you can't prove who had control over it for a while. It would be easy to "lose" the phone and then post those pics of your wife. It would be interesting to see the actual evidence.

It may well be a hoax...
that they put them up themselves? Look, they plant the phone, call the restaurant, upload the photos.

Instant lawsuit. Duh.

...that it was actually a McDonald's employee who did this. And not anyone else who might have had access to his phone while he wasn't looking, or him forwarding the snaps to his mates.
LMAO
Your joking right? Most Mcployees make a bit over minimum wage.
So 3 million is a little too much, i'd say £20 max. I mean the quality of the shots were poor, the woman was flabby, come on.

Still, I suspect the reason for the pix being on his phone is for a toilet session, probably. Why else would he have naked pix of his wife?

But hey, this is America we're talking about, these lot will sell their mothers for a fiver!

Anyway.
Jon.
McDonald has wining case
1. Stores are not legally bound to care of any customer item. At best employee can be fired.
2. people like such are factories of scam. What a lame excuse, plz keep my mobile with you i am such a looser that my mind is stamped to leave home casettes, mobiles and cameras with wife's pics so it could be returned to owner if lost.
3. While giving them phone he must have winked them and rubbed his tongue with upper lip and spanked his wife.
4. He must have said, i will bring another "loaded" mobile tomorrow, wink wink. ... and lawsuit...
Ok, so what's going on with Inq comments lately? A lot of stories, this one included, seem only to have attracted nonsense comments in suspiciously broken English.

I know it's a silly puff story, and unlikely to attract much searing insight, but still, has someone written a Drashek-style spambot that's spewing convincing-looking posts inna Markov chain stylee?
Rich, obviously you have never had a job that took you away from your house from more then a month. If you had, then you would know why it is nice to have these pics of your S/O!!
