A new flash drive that you can't refuse

Supertalent meets the mob
Tuesday, 2 December 2008, 08:12

SUPERTALENT IS MAKING you an offer on memory sticks that you can't refuse. Yes, they are making flash drives based on the movie "The Godfather".

alt='supertalent_godfather'

The Pico, not the rubber Godfather

The first version comes with pictures and quotes from the movie, and the line will be expanded throughout 2009. There are currently two versions, a mini stick from their Pico line, and a rubber-clad variant. Both come in 1-8GB flavors and will likely cost a little more than the standard versions. Given the price wobbles in flash, anything that they quote will likely change before you read this, so just look for prices online.

Our moles tell us that there is absolutely no truth to the rumors about the security edition. No, not an encrypted drive, but if someone takes the drive, they wake up with a horse's head in their bed. If the drive is still not returned, three guys named 'Sal' show up at your door and beat the perp with lead pipes.

While studies have shown the three guys named Sal approach to be 29 per cent more effective than encryption in securing data, Supertalent will not be marketing this technology until at least 2010. ยต
