Iphone OS 2.2 secrets revealed

Update will allow podcast downloads
Thursday, 6 November 2008, 12:22

A GERMAN BOGGER has apparently been fiddling with the developer release of the next iteration of the Iphone OS and has discovered that the not-yet-announced update will allow users to download video and audio podcasts without resorting to Itunes.

Genuine-looking screen shots show a podcast being downloaded over a 3G network so it looks like the functionality will not be restricted to wifi connections.

It's also widely predicted that the update will include full access to Google Street View and turn by turn GPS route finding.

No date has been set for the update, but that's Apple for ya! ยต

Sooner at Updating

I'm sure Apple will release the iPhone update sooner than Microsoft releases their next Windows Mobile update. Well, that's Microsoft for you. It should be interesting to note the number of iPhone updates between WinMob updates.
